\nUNITY among Christians and LIFE in a Jesus-Lifestyle<\/strong><\/p>\n

John 17.21<\/strong>
\nJesus wished in his prayer in the garden of Gethsemane, that his followers would live in UNITY, so the world would see that he is the Messiah.<\/p>\n

The followers of Jesus are we as Christians, who lead a LIFE after the model of Jesus (Jesus-Lifestyle). We understand 17.21 as part of the Great Commission.

\n<\/strong>Nehemiah 2.17<\/strong>
\n<\/strong>Nehemiah felt the urge to rebuild the \u00a0city walls of Jerusalem.<\/p>\n

We see the unity and the lifestyle of Christians in ruins. The image of Christians the people of Sri Lanka have, is distorted or even completely destroyed like the city walls of Jerusalem who were rubbles and ashes. In this time God led Joy to young people from Sri Lanka from different churches, who were on the search for a joint work in the kingdom God. Finally on 29th<\/sup> of November 2008 the movement UNITED FIRE (UF) under the leadership of Joy was founded. With this, the foundation for revival among Christians with roots in Sri Lanka living in Switzerland was built.<\/p>\n

With UF the work at the beginning focused on the second generation of Sri Lankans (Swiss Lankans). UF started different projects with the aim to bring together the young believers with Sri Lankan roots to facilitate community and help them rediscover their biblical values.<\/p>\n

Over the years God affirmed the vision and the way that we had taken with our work by letting us see fruit:
\n– Many tamil churches began to change:
\n– They organized youth church services on a regular basis
\n– Young people were allowed to contribute in local churches
\n– Many worship songs were translated to german or newly written
\n– Translation during the church service became more and more available
\n– Churches started to hold youth camps<\/p>\n

In 2012 God expanded the vision of Joy with the discovery of the deep truth in John 17.21. Although many things had changed in the last years, Joy felt that the unity among Christians and their Jesus-lifestyle was still broken and the work needed to continue. Since then God has opened the doors to foreign countries for UF. So we were encouraged to carry the vision internationally. UF decided to start new projects with a revived vision to carry the vision of God further.<\/p>\n
